I'm New

You are welcome here! We're located in downtown Elgin in a historic building with a beautiful new sanctuary. Our worship style is a bit like our building . . . built on tradition but beautifully contemporary.

You'll see a lot of jeans at our church, but also slacks and dresses and shorts. Come however you're comfortable. We do!

Be sure to stop at our Welcome table in the lobby!

Doors open at 9:30 am. There's always a selection of coffee brewing downstairs in the Community Room. If you love coffee like we do, be sure to grab a cup before the service starts, or choose from the wide variety of teas. Our treat! We're pretty casual here — if you put a lid on it, feel free to bring your coffee into the service.

We begin at 10 am with about 25 minutes of singing, praising the Lord, or simply enjoying the atmosphere of worship. Feel free to sit or stand and worship with your hands raised — or not. How you worship is between you and the Lord!

Every week, we have the opportunity to be encouraged and challenged by the Word of God through inspiring sermons that apply Biblical truths to everyday life.

We celebrate communion nearly every Sunday to remember what Jesus did for us when He went to the cross.

The service concludes with a ministry time for all who would like to receive personal prayer. Our team is trained to handle your prayer requests sensitively and confidentially.

Enter through our new family entrance! You'll be greeted by our team and given a name tag for your child to check in before service. The children play whole group games, pray for each other, and worship together. We have guest speakers from our body come and give the children a short devotion and sing Christ centered songs with them, and teens from Youth Ministries to lead them in prayer. Each year, we have a handful of months with a fifth Sunday, what are we to do with our schedule?! Include our kids of course! Every fifth Sunday we have a 'family service' where kids of all ages join us in service to worship and listen in. Just in case, they are also given activity packs to entertain themselves. This occurs only 4 times a year and is always a great chance to include the kiddos in a special message. Our next fifth Sunday's are: Nov 29, 2026, and Jan 31 & May 20, 2027.
